In order to obtain a real estate license, one must first meet certain qualifications, such as having a high school diploma or equivalent and being at least 18 years old. After meeting these qualifications, individuals must complete the requisite pre-licensing educational requirements, pass the real estate licensing exam, and submit the necessary application and fees. Depending on the state, applicants may need to complete additional continuing education credits and background checks. Once all of the requirements have been met, the individual will be issued a real estate license.
